香港自昨日起無法讀過特定網路供應商 （ISP）Smartone、CMHK、HKBN及PCCW造訪特定網站。經實驗後發現只能透過VPN才能在香港境內造訪「香港編年史」。 同時，亦收到在CSL和Smartone工作的員工透露，政府正要求香港（ISP）封鎖特定網站 （Cite blocking)。
根據《國安法》的條文，香港政府或國安處可要第三方移除危害國家安全的信息及提供協助。香港政府正在由計劃第扼殺香港人的網路自由。開放的互聯網向來是一個地方自由的基石。破壞互聯網自由同時亦會破壞資訊流通、通訊自由、新聞自由。

It has been reported that people are unable to access certain websites through certain ISPs (Smartone, CMHK, HKBN and PCCW) since yesterday. After experimentation, it was found that the Hong Kong Chronicle could only be accessed from within Hong Kong. It can only be visited via VPN. At the same time, it was also revealed by staff working for CSL and Smartone that the government was asking ISPs in Hong Kong to block specific websites (Cite blocking).
Under the provisions of the National Security Law, the Hong Kong Government or the National Security Branch may require third parties to remove the information and provide assistance that endangers national security. The Hong Kong government is stifling Hong Kong people's freedom on the Internet. An open Internet has always been the cornerstone of freedom in a place. Disrupting Internet freedom also undermines the flow of information, freedom of communication, and freedom of the press.
