Niantic had announced a new method to curb spoofing:
Compartmental Access Level (CAL):When Agents with insufficient Compartmental Access interact Portals under CAL protection, including known strategic Portals, and dynamic list of Portals based on XM & Portal Network fluctuations, will receive an error message.
An Agent’s CAL can increase following regular gameplay activity, or decrease over time.
Niantic has also provided support channel for Agents who believe they’re wrongly denied CAL-protected Portals access.
