Mulan’s leading actress, Liu Yifei 劉亦菲, spoke out in support for Hong Kong police brutality in August 2019: “I support the Hong Kong police. You can all attack me now. What a shame for Hong Kong.”

Liu Yifei enjoys the democracy and rights afforded to her as a naturalised American citizen, but hypocritically denies those same rights to #HongKongers by supporting Hong Kong Police brutality.

Liu’s support of an authoritarian government is at odds with a Disney film that supposedly champions honour, bravery, and truth.

Donnie Yen 甄子丹who is also staring in the movie is also proudly pro-Beijing and has organized a fund for an anti-Occupy Central organization in 2014.
