Cuba to start issuing licenses to legal entities to use cryptocurrencies

The Central Bank of Cuba will start issuing licenses to legal entities for the use of cryptocurrencies in economic activity. The regulator has unveiled a corresponding resolution, reports Reuters. The document will come into force on May 16.

The regulation of cryptocurrencies is being introduced amid the country's economic problems. Over the past two years, Cuba's GDP has fallen by 13%.
