宿方於下午六時二十八分向全體紅磡宿生發出電郵，指宿方於今天（八月五日）接獲一名成德宿生確診個案的通知；根據閘機記錄，該名宿生在七月二十九日離開宿舍後沒有再進入宿舍。該名宿生沒有室友，有兩位套房室友（共用洗手間及浴室），兩名套房室友均於八月四日進行武肺檢測，一名呈陰性，另一名等待結果。舍方指已指示加強清潔及消毒程序，正在等候衛生防疫中心的進一步指示。

1．學生會問：校方會否為宿生提供武肺檢測？
校方答：現階段需要等候衛生防疫中心之指示，現階段並無相關安排打算

2．學生會問：第三學期之宿生（暑sem）需在八月九日前退宿，然而為數不少的同學對宿舍的現況感到十分擔憂，舍方會否延遲退宿（check out）之期限？
校方答：明白同學之考慮，會積極考慮延後相關期限

A Hunghom hall resident informed the hall administration in the afternoon of 5 August (Today) that he left the hall on 29 July 2020 and did not re-enter the hall after leaving, and he was confirmed COVID-19 positive on 2 August. The student has no roommate but has two suite-mates. Both suite-mates have conducted COVID-19 test on 4 August 2020. One has confirmed negative and another one is pending result.

As a precautionary measure, the hall is now carrying out necessary cleaning and disinfection, and is waiting for further advice of CHP. Meanwhile, please stay vigilant and take proper precautions related to personal hygiene.

1. Q: Will the school provide the Wuhan Pneumonia test for the residents?
Answer from PolyU: The school awaits and will follow instructions from the CHP, as of this moment the school has no such planning/arrangement.

2. Q: Some summer residents are scheduled to check-out on 9th August. Given the current situation, many residents are worried. Will the school postpone the check-out deadline?
Answer from PolyU: The school understands the concerns of the residents, and will actively consider the deadline extension.
