@scottish_hongkongers 連同 @ukhk_welcomechurches 將本月底舉辦Welcome Course ，圍繞 #本地文化、#生活百科、#結識朋友、#公民義務、#歷史 等，讓大家從陌生的生活情景，逐漸適應英國多元文化的社會。

課程設討論環節，讓大家習慣和本地人日常交談，提升英語溝通能力。

The Hong Kong Scots CIC與蘇格蘭將近100個 #人權團體 發表聲明，堅拒 #非法移民法案Illegal Migration Bill(下稱:難民拒絕法 #RefugeeBanBill )。

#難民拒絕法 一旦通過，它將剝奪大多數正在英國 #尋求庇護人士 的權利，包括從香港出發蒞到英國的尋求庇護手足！就此我等不會袖手旁觀，除了呼籲英國政府撤回難民拒絕法外，我們要求政府當局為尋求庇護者提供安全的尋求庇護路線，確保他們不用再挺而走險尋找下一個落腳地尋求庇護。

We’re proud to be joining 100 organisations across Scotland speaking out against the UK Gov’s cruel #RefugeeBanBill.
If passed, it will remove the right of most people to claim asylum in the UK, no matter how great their need for refugee protection. It will slam the door on survivors of trafficking and people fleeing war, torture and persecution.

We cannot stand by and do nothing. We are calling for the UK Gov to scrap its #RefugeeBanBill and open safe routes so people don’t have to risk their lives on dangerous journeys to find a place of safety.

Daniel Tsz Kin Kwok, a former councillor in Hong Kong and co-founder of Scottish Hong Kongers, told i: “We are disappointed with the Government’s integrated review.
“Other than the delaying of the PM’s promise that he would close all the Confucius Institutes when he becomes the PM. Democracy and freedom, which should be the value of the British community, were harmed by China’s agents.
“The Manchester incident that happened last October highlighted the threat of China. And the Sunak Cabinet only gave tough words without actions.
“The difference between the two words, threat and challenge, shows that the government is not willing to prioritise human rights issues.”

剛過去的2月14至16日，我等赴 #瑞士 #日內瓦 出席 #聯合國 經濟、社會及文化權利委員會（#CESCR ）。是次會議乃委員會定期審議各國落實經濟、社會及文化權利國際公約（International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights）情況，對象包括中國大陸及香港、澳門兩個特別行政區。我等把撰寫報告經過、三日行程和見聞寫成報告同大家分享。
