2022-08-03 08:42:21 Qi Xi Festival is one of the most prominent festivals in terms of cultural and historical value .

This festival has through modernization as China now reintroduced it as Chinese's Valentine day. Though the traditional custom of celebration has changed to a modern way like giving flowers & chocolate, this festival is still practiced by many people .

One thing that is clear, this festival is a celebration of the annual meeting of the cowherd and weaver girl in mythology. This myth is so famous despited first known over 2600 years ago. It even inspired many other festivals like Tanabata Festival in Japan and Chilseok Festival in Korea .

From the perspective of the astrology & Chinese calendar, it's a special day where 2 stars (Vega & Altair) that always sit on the opposite side of the Milky Way can cross the sky to meet each other .

Nonetheless, one thing that never changes is that this is a day of romance and love .
